“Takes Two to Make a Bargain” and Sell Your Content in the Market

This 1935 Bing Cosby’s Two to Make a Bargain forced me to join the dots across parallels and conclude that emotions and perceptions are not unique to human behavior but professional business as well.

Before I start, let me remind you that your career problems are not only solved in a suit and tie but can come to an enlightening solution when you are hitting at the highest notes of Hey Jude by Beatles or simply wheezing in your morning run or watching a sitcom that nobody cares about.

I will make this one pretty short and quick.

Are you someone who is involved in content creation?

If you are a content writer, you might have had doubts such as: “Will this content fit in the design layout” or “ Is it going to match the theme of the graphics?” or “I can’t write for a website whose layout I don’t know at all.”0

If you are a graphic designer, you often find yourself saying:” How can I fix the design when I haven’t received the content?” or “Tell the team to make the content short. This one sucks on the design” or “I SAID, I NEED SHORT TEXT.”

Of course, we can binge-watch all day episodes of a series called “Everyday Tussles between a Graphic Designer and a Content Writer”. Trust me, I intend to bring this one on Netflix one day and maybe, make a lot of money. (If you think this is possible, connect asap because Netflix is in some dire need of more content.)

But, there is nothing a perfect bargain cannot solve.

What if you could give the best of both worlds or maybe the best of one and satisfactory of the other world?

It works with the organization pretty well because that would save them up on extra manpower and help you have a bonus.

Why is this need of the hour?

The content market is saturated. Leaving behind the quality, there is everything everywhere which makes it difficult for the people to hold on to their job roles. You become difficult for someone, they will swap you with someone else and that is the ground reality.

We can’t wait for the consumer to understand the value. It is going to take a revolution to knock those morals before each creator is valued but until then you have to do whatever it takes to sustain and grow in this heavily crowded market.
Sustaining yourself in this content business takes a perfect bargain and this bargain just not happens between two ends but it is only feasible on the donor end to be a two to make a terrific one.

Cut to the chase, if you are a content writer; learn graphic designing and vice-versa.
This is happening for real. I know it is unfair to ask to learn something which is not in your interest but remember the times when you studied subjects you hated but ended up doing it for good grades anyway?

Whatever it takes.

I am not advocating Jack of all trades but master of none but times are changing and so are the sayings.

Jack of all trades and master of one.

Sometimes an organization is heavy on the words but less on visuals. Sometimes it’s the other way round and you have to find your niche. Nobody is swapping or stealing anyone’s role. It is just a win-win option if you do this upgrade.
You have to make a perfect bargain to sell your content. It works like any other fair with vendors all around. The shoppers are going to hop from one stall to another until they find the settlement matching to their needs. Make sure you are the one who hits it right!
